ويحتوي الصلب المقاوم للتآكل (الستينليس ستيل) على مادة الكروم التي تتوافر فيها خواص مقاومة التآكل في درجات حرارة عالية. كما يمكنه تحمل البيئات الكيميائية أو البيئات المسببة للتآكل بسبب سطحه الأملس. لذلك تُعتبر المنتجات المصنوعة من الستينليس ستيل آمنة للاستخدام على المدى الطويل مع الاحتفاظ بخاصية مقاومة التآكل.
